Project Overview
Removing buckthorn is a critical step in restoring the health and long-term stability of a property. As an aggressive invasive species, buckthorn crowds out native plants, weakens soil structure, and accelerates erosion on hillsides. By properly removing buckthorn and reestablishing the area with native wildflowers and prairie grasses, the soil is naturally stabilized through deep root systems that hold the ground in place.
Project Outcomes
This approach reduces erosion, improves water infiltration, and creates high-quality habitat for pollinators and wildlife—transforming a degraded hillside into a resilient, low-maintenance native landscape that supports both ecological health and lasting property value.
